The Word

Most people know they should read the Bible. Very few have stopped to ask why.

And that distinction matters more than you think. Because if you do not know the purpose of a thing, you will misuse it, abuse it, or eventually abandon it altogether.

This message cuts straight to the root. The Bible is not a rulebook to master, a history text to study, or a self-help manual to mine for tips. It is the living Word of a living God, and when you read it, the Author shows up.

The goal of reading Scripture is not information. It is relationship. And the moment that shifts in your heart, everything about how you engage with the Word changes.

In this message
  • Why the Israelites heard the same Word and got no benefit from it
  • The difference between knowing God's acts and knowing God's ways
  • Why lovers always outwork workers when it comes to the Word
  • How to stop reading the Bible as a spectator and start reading it as a participant
  • What it means that the Word is written to your heart, not your head
  • This is for the person who reads consistently but feels nothing. For the person who stopped reading because it felt like a duty. And for the person hungry to go deeper than they have ever gone.
  • The Word became flesh. And it still does, in you.

Some wording on this page was corrected as the episode came in from the podcast feed, where the title or the punctuation did not match the way we write.
