Baptism

Sign up to be baptised.

Sign-up is always open. Put your name down whenever you are ready, and a pastor will talk it through with you before the next one comes round.

A baptism on church grounds: the moment someone comes up out of the water, face lit up, water running, with the people watching visible behind them rather than cropped out. The witnesses are half the point, so shoot at least one frame wide enough to hold both. Get written consent from the person being baptised before publishing. Portrait.
What we can tell you

Four things, and they are the honest lot.

Rather than pad this page out, here is everything that is settled today. A pastor fills in the rest with you in person.

Sign-up is always open

There is no window and no cut-off. Put your name down the week you decide, whenever that is, and it is held until the next one.

Roughly quarterly, here

Baptisms happen about every three months, on church grounds, as part of the life of the church rather than off somewhere private.

Bring your people

You are encouraged to bring friends and family to witness it. This is a public thing on purpose, and the room is better with them in it.

One or two sessions first

There is a short class before you are baptised, usually one or two sessions. A pastor arranges it with you once your name is down.

Gap · what this page cannot say yet

No next date, no time of day, no minimum age, nothing about what to wear or bring, and no dates for the sessions. None of it is settled, so none of it has been guessed at here. The minimum age in particular is being worked through internally and sits on the documents-to-source list until it is.

Put your name down.

Sign-up is always running, so there is no window to miss and no date to wait for. Fill this in and a pastor comes to you.

Optional.

Have you been baptised before? (required)
Have you spoken to a pastor about this? (required)

Optional, and as long or as short as you like.

A pastor reads this, nobody else.
Bring your people

Invite whoever you want there

Friends and family are welcome to come and watch, and we would rather the front row was full of your people than empty. They do not need to be part of this church, or of any church.

Rather ask first?

Talk to someone before you decide

You can ask everything before you put anything in writing. Come to the Info Desk after a service, or send us a message and we will get a pastor to you.

Ask us a question
Not sure yet

You can come and watch one first.

Baptisms happen on church grounds roughly every quarter, in front of the whole family. If you would rather see one before you sign up, come to a Sunday and ask when the next one is.

Sign-up is always open, because nobody should have to wait for a date to say yes.
