What we're about

Loving God. Loving People. Transformation.

Three words that decide what we do on a Tuesday as much as a Sunday.

Loving God

Worship that isn't performance and prayer that isn't routine. We come hungry.

Loving People

The Big Hug isn't a programme, it's how we treat whoever walks in.

Transformation

We expect people to change, because we've watched it happen.

Our story

A loving family on a mission.

The beginning

C3 Nairobi was founded by Pastors Garth and Jaime, who felt God prompting them to plant a life-giving church in the heart of Kenya. Their faith, leadership and genuine love for people formed a community marked by authentic connection and Spirit-led worship.

From the start this has been a place where people don't just attend, they belong. Where the Word is taught with depth. Where the Holy Spirit moves.

A new season

In time, Pastors Garth and Jaime recognised God's calling on Pastor Kevin and began working with him toward local leadership. In March 2025 Pastor Kevin was ordained to lead the church into this season by Pastor Rock Mutegheki, who oversees C3's East and West Africa region.

We honour the remarkable foundation Garth and Jaime laid, and we celebrate what God keeps doing through our pastoral team.

Our pastors

Kevin and Simba Vikilu

Pastor Kevin brings a shepherd's care to ministry, with a background in psychology and theology. His teaching is grounded in Scripture, practical for real life, and deeply pastoral.

Simba serves alongside him with a prophetic perspective, offering insight and sensitivity to the Spirit's leading. She also oversees C3 Kids with creativity, warmth, and a vision to see children encounter God.

Together they lead with authenticity, humility, and a passion to see Nairobi drawn closer to God.

Who leads what

The people who carry this.

Names, and what each of them actually carries.

Our values

Ten things we won't trade.

Five that point at God, five that point at people. They decide the diary, the budget and the way you get treated at the door.

Loving God

Built on Scripture

Scripture is our final authority, not our decoration. We teach it verse by verse, in a way that still holds up on Monday morning.

By Faith

Faith is not a feeling we work up. We take God at His word, act on it, and watch Him meet us there.

Prayer First

Prayer is the first move, never the last resort. Nothing we do starts without it.

Holy Spirit Empowered

The gifts of the Spirit are ordinary equipment here, as much for a Tuesday office as a Sunday altar.

Worship

Worship is not a performance and not a warm-up. We come hungry and stay until He is the point.

Loving People

Creatively Magnetic

We put real craft into what we make, because excellence draws people in. It should be worth inviting a friend to.

Reflection of Heaven

Every tribe, every age, every bracket, in one room. If the room does not look like the city, we are not finished.

Intentionally Relational

The Big Hug is not a programme. We learn names, we follow up, and we notice when you are missing.

Making Disciples

We are not building an audience. Everyone here is being discipled by someone and is discipling someone.

Second Mile Generosity

We give first, give past what was asked, and give without keeping score. God set that pace.

Looking for where we stand doctrinally? Read our statement of beliefs.

Teaching from the stage, open Bible in hand, the room in soft focus behind.

Built on Scripture

Where this is going

The vision.

Transformation that widens: a person, then a home, then a city.

Transformed lives

One person meets God and stops being who they were. Everything else follows from that.

Transformed families

Homes where the peace is real, marriages worth copying, children who grow up knowing they are loved.

Transformed communities and cities

A church whose absence Nairobi would feel, because it is already carrying weight the city can name.

Statement of beliefs

The Bible is our guide to life.

These are our doctrinal convictions, the ground everything else here stands on. We hold them because we believe they are true, not merely because they are ours.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

More about Connects
We are C3

Part of a movement of 639 churches.

C3 Nairobi is part of C3 Church Global, an international family of 639 churches in 61 nations, 90 of them in East and West Africa. Founded by Pastors Phil and Chris Pringle in 1980, it began with a small gathering on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Our heart as a movement is healthy, vibrant churches where people know Jesus personally, are empowered by the Holy Spirit, and form authentic connections. Every C3 location reflects the culture of its city while changing it. Here in Nairobi we are registered as Christian City Church Kenya Ministries.
