Second Mile generosity (Culture Course) – Damaris Mwai

In this message we unpack Jesus’ call in this Sermon on the Mount to “go the second mile.” Our very own, Damaris, contrasts the first mile (obligation, law, doing the minimum) with the second mile (grace, love, and willing generosity), tracing the theme through Scripture; Joseph, Ruth, the Good Samaritan, Zacchaeus, and ultimately Jesus, and into everyday life: forgiveness, giving, serving, relationships, work, and hospitality. We don’t give because God needs anything; we give because His mission does and because we can’t outgive Him.
